Pastor

Pastor Wilkerson was missionary of the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention for 26 years.  He is now retired from the mission board and serves Hillsdale Baptist in St. Marys.

Married to Hellen Joyce Hust for 59 years, they have 6 children, 19 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.   From their home in Jackson Center they commute to St. Marys to serve the people.

Education includes a Master of Divinity degree and specialized training in conflict ministry and American Sign Language. 

He served as missionary in Eastern Kentucky while working as an electrical contractor, school teacher, basketball coach and church planter.  He has been pastor of churches in Kentucky, and in Ohio he has been pastor in Dayton, Bradford, Wauseon, Urbana and Steubenville before coming to St. Marys. For 22 years he served as a Home Missionary in West Central Baptist Association, here in Ohio, strengthening churches, training leadership, and starting churches.

Pastor Wilkerson has been preaching for 64 years and is a man of God with a strong faith, a caring heart, and a passion for being used by our Lord, and to bring Him glory.

Believing that the Scripture is the Word of God, without any error, and fully trustworthy for faith and practice in our day, he preaches biblical messages that will strengthen your faith, and give you answers and hope as you live for Christ.
