Look unto Me

Isaiah 45:19, 22-23

19I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth:(in hiding) I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain:(for no reason or purpose) I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.(God’s word and prophesy can be trusted.)

22Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. 23I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. 24Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. (Parenthesis added.)

God spoke the truth openly, not in hiding, and declared it would come to pass. The Lord invites the Gentile nations to be saved. He alone has declared the future. The Lord alone is able to save the world and many will be saved. However some will reject Him (v.24). They will be incensed against Him, but they will be ashamed, for every knee shall bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

We too easily, allow discouragement when things seem to go wrong. We need to remember that the battle is not over, and that the Lord Jesus Christ will win. He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings, which means that He is Lord and King over all. We are not trusting Him for no reason. We do not obey him for no purpose. His word is true and right. It is His purpose that people will be incensed at us, because they are incensed at Him. Yet in that day, they will be ashamed and some will ask for salvation. We are about to be confronted by those who are incensed at Him. Do not loose heart, for there is coming a day when "every knee" shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

Therefore, let us Look unto Christ in faith and He will deliver us for His glory for we have been saved. It is our life and testimony that Christ will use to point all the world to Christ. He wants the incensed world to see us. It should be our motto too. I shall say,"in the Lord have I righteousness and strength" (v.24). May the world see it and believe, so they too can be saved.

Plilippians 2:9-11

9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
